Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express Waterproof Mascara – My old tube of the Maybelline Volum’ Express Colossal Mascara ran out, and although I had been a dedicated fan of that for a fair few years, I felt like it was time to try something new! So I bought this one as I had heard a lot of positive things about it, and I must say I am impressed. It hasn’t clumped my lashes together at all so far, which the Colossal had a tendency to do. It also makes my lashes look longer. So if you’re looking for a mascara which adds natural volume and length to your eyelashes, I recommend this.

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Privée in Barely Peach – I have been getting so much use out of this lipstick. It is the perfect nude for my lip colour, but still looks like I’m wearing lipstick and puts the ‘finishing touch’ on my makeup. There are six shades in this range, tailor made by various celebrities, which helps to give you an idea of which might suit your skin tone best. The shade that suits my lip colour is by Julianne Moore (no surprises there) and so I think this will look great on any of my fellow redheads!

Bourjois Paris Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Plum Russian 06 – This is my first lip crayon, and I have fallen in love with it. I love how it has a shine to it so that it looks a little bit glossy, but not overly so. It is easily buildable, but I like that you can apply a thin layer because it means i’m not too scared to wear it during the day as well as the evening. It also makes my lips feel pretty moisturised, which is always a plus!

Bourjois Effet Smokey Eyepencil in Intense Black 75 – I needed a new eyeliner so I decided to try this out. I’ve never had a pencil that had a smudging brush attached, but I tend to smudge my eyeliner because I don’t like my waterline to have a sharp, severe black line along it. So I thought I’d give this pencil a go. The brush works really well to give the smudged effect I love! I just make the brush slightly damp so it doesn’t scratch the skin, and dab it along the line. Best of all, it doesn’t give what I call the ‘black-eye effect’ (I’m sure you know what I’m talking about)!

Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer in Ivory 010 – I have recently re-discovered this concealer at the bottom of my makeup bag and have been using it a lot this month. It gives good coverage, and I especially like to use it under my eyes as it’s also a highlighter. I don’t think it’s the best concealer for hiding spots because of the highlighting aspect, but nevertheless I have got a lot of use out of it.

Champneys Spa Treatments Hand & Nail Cream – I actually got this last year as part of a gift set. They were on 3 for 2 in Boots. I bought 2 as gifts and thought it would be rude not to get the third for myself! I keep this little tube in my handbag. It’s really handy, very hydrating and smells gorgeous. My hands get very dry and cracked in the winter, so this has become a real essential for me. For Christmas my Aunt gave me L’Occitaine’s Rose 4 Reines Hand Cream which also smells divine, and I know I am going to be getting a lot of use out of that as well!
