Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in Peachy Pink – £10

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie – £7.99

I recently picked up these two lipstick shades. I was looking for some hydrating, creamy formulas that would be suitable for summer and these two certainly deliver! The swatches are quite opaque to give you an idea of the true colour, but they actually apply quite sheer and look extremely natural on. They’re perfect shades for an every-day look.

The Body Shop’s offering is from their Colour Crush range, and it’s a beautiful nude peachy pink (as the name suggests)! The packaging is lovely and feels more high-end than it actually is! The formula of this is quite glossy and it has just a little shimmer in it. It isn’t too sparkly though, thankfully! It’s really creamy and hydrating, which comes from the fair-trade marula oil in the formula. I have a feeling this will be one of my most used lip products over the summer months!

The other lipstick is a cult classic in the blogging world – almost everyone seems to rave about the Revlon Lip Butters. After spending far too much time swatching them all, I finally plumped for Berry Smoothie, and I’m so glad that I did! It’s a dark berry shade (again the name gives it away), which normally I wouldn’t go near for an every day lip colour. I’m much more of a peachy nude girl during the lighter hours. However, the formula is very sheer, and actually quite similar to the Body Shop one as it has some shimmer and is very moisturising. It glides on easily and just adds a hint of natural colour to the lips.

Have you tried any of these lipsticks? What are your favourite summer shades?
