Travel: Provence, France #2

If you missed last week’s post about the first week of my trip to the South of France, you can catch up here. This week I thought I would share the pictures from the second week! We moved location to Plage de Gigaro, about half an hour outside St Tropez and a five minute walk down the road to the beach! The villa we stayed in was beautiful. It was very rustic and decorated in a traditional Provençal style, but still had modern luxuries like a pool. The garden was planted with some beautiful flowers and there were lots of little nooks and crannies with little benches to sit on and read with the sound of the sea in the background. It was all very peaceful!

We had some delicious meals on the seafront near our villa. We would go down in the evening and have dinner as the sun was setting over the sea. It’s only a little village, but it’s totally set up for tourists with restaurants and cafés a plenty. I had an amazing (and huge) steak one night, as well as an absolutely gorgeous moroccan-style seafood tagine, which I think was my favourite meal of the holiday. High praise indeed!

We didn’t venture out all that much during this week, as it was more about relaxing and spending days at the beach! But we did take an excursion to St Tropez for the day which was full of quaint little streets, and the beautiful harbour which was the most touristy area, but was still nice walk around and look in the shops and out to sea!

So that’s all the details from our trip. It feels like a lifetime ago that I was there now, even though it was less than a month. Time is flying this summer, and I’m dreading the moment when I have to get my coat out my wardrobe again!

What are your summer plans? Do you have any trips lined up, or are you planning a stay-cation instead? Let me know in the comments section!
